Aluminium provides cost efficient, quality alternative to copper and zinc. It is lightweight, durable, and malleable and is available in a wide range of colours.
Aluminium is non-corrosive material and often used in coastal areas and on soffits. It requires little to no maintenance. It reflects heat making the space cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
Pre-coated aluminium offers great uniformity of colour but being a painted material, it is not subject to the same level of oxidation as natural copper or zinc.
Aluminium is very compatible with other metals. Aluminium finishes range from natural silver through to dark colours including metallic finishes and finishes that recreate other natural materials such as zinc, copper, or Corten steel.
