Concept Cladding installs a diverse range of cladding systems. We will work with you to help you decide on the most appropriate system for your project.
Flat Lock
Flat lock is perfect for elegant and sophisticated looking facades and is also suitable for steep pitched roofs. The system allows the sheets to be laid out in long, flat seams or shingles and uses a simple interlocking fold. It is a very versatile system which is good for curved walls and can also be installed in various ways (diagonal, vertical or horizontal). Panels can be produced in a variety of widths and lengths to suit any building. The standard panel widths range from 230mm-430mm depending on the material used.
Standing Seam
Standing Seam involves joining the panels by folding the side upstands of the panels together. This system has elevated ribs which highlight lines and shadows. The standard ribs are 25mm high. The Standing Seam profile can be installed using either a double lock or single lock technique. Standing Seam is very versatile, as panels can be custom made to suit, including curved, convex, concaved, tapered and flat applications. It is durable and can also be used on lower pitched roofs (minimum 3 degrees).
Interlocking
The Interlocking system (similar to V25, Express Panel and Diversaclad systems) allows customised panel cover. It involves connecting panels by using an interlocking groove. The panels can be different widths and lengths and installed in various ways (diagonal, vertical, horizontal). The Interlocking system generally uses narrow panels with a recessed express joint (3mm – 20mm). The front face sits approximately 25mm off the wall. A thicker gauge material will be required if using zinc or copper.
Cassette
The Cassette system has a flat appearance with recessed joints. The panels are mechanically fixed onto a metal framework. It allows for very wide panels to be used (up to 1m) and suits large scale projects. Cassette cladding is suitable for horizontal or vertical application and panels are generally up to 2.5m long.
Nail Strip
Nail strip is similar in appearance to the Standing Seam cladding system. Panels can be installed vertically or horizontally and are installed mainly on straight surfaces. They are clipped onto the surface with a perforated fixing strip which allows the panels to be snapped together. Nail strip is best for straight walls with limited details. It is a fast and economical option for large areas.
VMZ Adeka®
The VMZ Adeka® system uses pre-fabricated tiles with a foam backing. The tiles are a diamond shape (400mm x 400mm) which creates a unique, scale-like appearance. For a shingle system, it is relatively quick to install with its unique locking key. It is suitable for roofs with a minimum of 15 degree pitch.
Batten Seam
Batten Seam is a traditional method of roofing, using timber battens and capping strips. It shows very visible lines and shadow effects and is a very adaptable system. It can be used on a variety of surfaces including flat, curved, concave, convex and domed. The pans run parallel to the roof slope
and are separated by timber battens. The battens are covered with capping which is loose locked onto adjacent pans. It can also be used on low pitched roofs (minimum 3 degrees).
